I was aware of the too many bad reviews about this hotel and was scared to death about bed bugs. BUT fortunately it was a good experience, we were in room 407 and it was very clean, no signs of insects or animals of any sort. The international reception staff wasn't too kind (probably because many of them were from other countries) but helpful enough to let me store luggage two hours after check out. It was an overall good experience but I do get where the bad reviews come from, The hotel did indeed look a bit dirty and had a filthy moquette all' over the stairs and also lacked an escalator. Breakfast is exactly how they describe it to be. Anyway if you wanna try this hotel, try it at your own risk, you may be very lucky or extremely unsatisfied. If anything consider getting an Airbnb. Which is cheaper and probably less risky.

The room we got was the tiniest hotel room I've ever seen, but I have no serious complaints about it. Minor criticisms would be things like the room not having a fridge and the shower's water pressure could've been slightly higher. The room was perfectly clean and was cleaned by someone every day we were gone. On the heating side of things, the wall-mounted unit & floor unit adequately kept the room comfortably warm. Now, outside the room itself, I had major quarrel with the stairs going up. Our room was basically on the top floor, which normally is preferable, buuuuut I had a huge heavy suitcase I had to lug all the way up the stairs. It didn't help the stairs were tiny and covered with thick carpet. I guess the building is too old for an elevator. Nonetheless, I was always happy to return to the room to relax after a day of wandering around London.

Thinking what you pay for staying here, the hotel is very good. Yes, the rooms were small and the decorations old, but it was clean enough, you had breakfast included and it has a great location. I was scared that it would be cold in the rooms after reading the reviews, but it was hot enough for us to stay inside with only a short sleeve t-shirt. The bed was not large, but big enough to accommodate my, my husband and our 22 months old baby. I am very happy with what I got for the money I paid.

For the price we paid we were impressed by the location, central and convenient. As you would expect it was very no thrills, but clean enough, and a good place to crash for the night after exploring London. The rooms have no tea and coffee making facilities but we were very surprised by the free continental breakfast, which wasn't the best quality food but had a good selection and extremely generous considering the cost of the room.

Everything was awesome. Best hotel i have stayed in in london. The spot is perfect for a lot of reasons. Firstly the underground is easily accesible and you can go everywhere fast and easy. The place there is alive. Many people , many families and many but many restaurants of all kinds. The view was also very interesting. I highly recommend

Clean, nice area. They cleaned the room every day of my stay. there is self check-in and check-out. Just read the instructions they give via email and it's super simple to deal with it. If you are not pretentious people I would recommend it! Enjoy

I stayed here 22nd September to the 26th for work. Initially I was very concerned having read the reviews below. If you're expecting luxury or a 'proper' hotel service, you will be disappointed. For the price, it was exactly as expected and I found nothing wrong with the room. It was cleaned daily and teas and coffees replenished. The bed wasn't the most comfortable, but I've slept in worse. It is essentially a place to keep your stuff and get your head down in between being out and about. The location is great- beautiful, quiet and residential. Close to Notting Hill Gate, Bayswater, and Royal Oak stations. Only criticism I have is the carpeting in the hallway stairs was a little dangerous. But I would consider coming here again for a short break.

Great basic hotel if you just need somewhere to sleep. Room very basic: bed wardrobe tv and kettle. Nowhere to put anything, needs a chair. Very clean :) No reception staff. Felt a little unsafe as main door left unlocked and room just had a basic yale lock and window was a sash window that didnt lock, Slept very well, very quiet Lovely location, would stay again
